• Kayla has been a part of K-Wave since January 2023.

• She is majoring in political science

• Kayla’s hobbies include playing video games, singing,  drawing, painting, reading philosophy or theology books, hanging out with friends, cosplaying, and going to the gym w/ Joseph.

• Kayla is left-handed.

• She also has a twin sister.

• Kayla got into K-Culture in 2021 because of a classmate in high school. She told Kayla to listen to BTS, so she watched their "Black Swan" performance on Jimmy Fallon and loved the outfits and the choreo.

• She is majoring in visual arts.

• Min’s hobbies include dance, videography, painting, and drawing.

• Min often gets posted on club Instagram accounts (she doesn’t know why).

• She used to be a business major.

• Min got into K-Culture in 2014 when she watched “Electric Shock” by f(x).

• Min’s current favorite artists include SEVENTEEN, ATEEZ, and Stray Kids.

Joseph Facts:

• Joseph has been a part of K-Wave since February 2022.

• Joseph was previously Secretary (Feb 2022 - Apr 2023) & Senior Sponsorship Director (May 2023 - Apr 2024).

• He is getting his Master’s in Arts in Kinesiology.

• Joseph’s hobbies include dance, exercise, gaming, reading, and watching anime.

• Joseph lived in Singapore for six months last year and had a great time going around Asia.

• He goes to a lot of concerts.

• Joseph got into K-Culture in 2009 initially through “Muzik” by 4Minute.

Alyssa Facts:

• Alyssa has been a part of K-Wave since September 2024.

• It is Alyssa’s first year being a Junior Videographer.

• She is majoring in sociology with a minor in law and society.

• Alyssa’s hobbies include dance, musical theatre, sewing, and academic trivia (esp. Quizbowl and pub trivia)

• She is an executive for UBC’s Musical Theatre Troupe.

• Alyssa teaches K-Pop dance to kids.

• She watches Jeopardy every night.

• Alyssa is a huge geography nerd (she knows all the world capitals and country flags & can put them on a map!)

• Alyssa got into K-Culture in 2020 when she discovered “Kill This Love” by BLACKPINK on YouTube. In 2020, they released The Album, and her friends got more into K-Pop, which allowed her to dive in.

• Alyssa’s favorite artists include TWICE, LOONA/Loossemble, ITZY, PURPLE KISS, KWON EUNBI, and Kep1er. 

• Her ultimate biases are LOONA’s Vivi and TWICE’s Nayeon.

• She enjoys Korean skincare, fashion, beauty treatments, and cafe culture.

• Alyssa has a signed Cabin Fever album from PURPLE KISS, and they all complimented her Sweet Juice cosplay she sewed for their concert at the fansign. She also has a selfie with Goeun and got an air heart with Chaein. 

• Alyssa *thinks* Giselle from aespa & Kevin from THE BOYZ have responded to her comments on livestreams.

• She’s been to Sunmi, TWICE, P1Harmony, ITZY and PURPLE KISS concerts (& club night with Min from miss A).

• Alyssa teaches dance for the same company as Matthew from ZEROBASEONE’s sister, and has worked alongside her teaching.

• She has an obsession with TWICE's “Likey” MV and has been to most of the locations to recreate frames!
